Progressive Voices in Frank Discussion

Newton, MA, June 15, 2003: Ben Tafoya and Dennis Tafoya co-hosts of The Emerging Majority, radio program adding a politically progressive voice to metro Boston, announced that Massachusetts Democratic Representative Barney Frank will join the show for a discussion on Monday June 16, 2003. Barney Frank has done a great job representing Massachusetts citizens in the US House for 22 years." says Ben Tafoya.

We are proud of the fact that he is the first elected official to join us on the show. We applaud his years of service to the community, he represents what we talk about when we talk progressive politics" adds Dennis Tafoya.

The brothers will ask Representative Frank about his legislative priorities including work on the Financial Services Committee, economic policy and foreign policy. Upcoming guests on June 20, 2003 include John McDonough, former member of the Massachusetts legislature and current Executive Director of Health Care for All, a leading advocacy group for health care access in Massachusetts.

The show, which debuted on April 11, 2003, aims to create an on-air community for people who are passionate about economic democracy, peaceful foreign policy and human rights. The brothers have had business careers of twenty years each in the technology sector. "We think we have a unique approach to progressive politics based on working in the private sector for so long", says Dennis Tafoya. "We want to invite the community in Eastern Massachusetts to join a conversation about politics, film, literature and the arts that has been going on between us for most of our lives."

The Tafoya's also offer their nominations for Goat of the Week and Hero of the Week recognizing individuals who have contributed to recent news. The shows conclude with The End Times offering the personal views of the hosts on books, films, music and the arts of interest to the progressive community.

Each Monday and Friday the show can be heard live on WBNW 1120 AM and WPLM 1390 AM at 5:00 pm and a replay again Saturdays at 5:00 PM, as well as through the internet at www.theemergingmajority.com .
