Techstreet Introduces Industry Standards Subscription Service
Techstreet offers a "build-your-own" web-based subscription service for industry codes and standards. The service provides company-wide, multi-user access to a customized list of documents.
Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) June 20, 2003 -- Techstreet, a leading online supplier of industry codes and standards for technical and engineering professionals, introduces a new Subscription service that provides simultaneous multi-user access to a custom set of standards from multiple worldwide locations - office, home, factory, testing facility - anywhere the user has an Internet connection. Documents are updated automatically so users are always guaranteed the most current and correct information.
Techstreet's new Subscription service is significant for its customization potential. Until now, standards users have had to choose from bundled packages, some of which contained more than they needed, some of which contained less. Techstreet's pioneering product allows organizations to pick and choose just the standards they need, across multiple publishers, resulting in the ideal information set for their particular industry and discipline.
"This product is a direct response to customer demand," says Gregg Hammerman, Techstreet's President. "Small and medium size corporations need alternatives to the comprehensive and expensive packages that don't provide quite what they need. Because of budget limitations, many of these companies settle for single-user print and PDF documents. But these documents don't offer the critical option of multi-user or multi-location access. We recognized the need for an 'in-between' product and developed a unique licensing and pricing model. Now, these companies can obtain company-wide, multi-user access in multiple locations for a price that is not much different from single-user print or PDF."
Kathleen Combs, Director of Business Services at the American Petroleum Institute (API) commented, "By allowing customers to customize their Subscriptions, Techstreet has made multi-user and multi-location licensing accessible for small and medium-size companies. This will be a valuable tool for companies wishing to improve their access to API standards."
Standards initially available in Techstreet's Subscription service include API, ASME, IEEE, ACI, NSF, CSA, NACE, 3-A, ASHRAE, ISA and many more. Clients already using the service include those in manufacturing, food processing, petrochemical, energy, pumping systems, and industrial lighting.
