Brainwave Training Company Uses New Computer Technology To Help Dyslexics.

Life Systems International has opened the doors of their first specialist dyslexia training centers. The technology and training system they have developed can rapidly help people with dyslexia and other special educational needs. The system and technology trains people to control their brainwaves for peak mental functioning.

(PRWEB) June 22, 2003 -- Life Systems International (LSI) has developed a computer based training system called the Brainwave Conditioning System (tm). Its purpose is to recondition the brainwave patterns of clients to an optimal state. This results in an enhanced performance in many fields. In recent years their unique technology and training has been used to help clients excel in both sport and mental skills such as memory. That is until now…

To help people with dyslexia and other special educational needs (SEN) such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), PPT has developed a specific four week training programme. During the four weeks, clients receive a series of one-hour training sessions at the centre using the new Brainwave Conditioning System. At the end of the four weeks, individuals will notice a marked improvement in their mental performance. Over the trial period of this new system, children have moved from the bottom quartile of their class to the top quartile. As well as improving academically, parents and teachers of children have noticed how their childs self-esteem, confidence and physical balance have also improved. Associated behavior problems are also reduced. LSI attributes this to an improved coherence of the brainwaves.

It is so satisfying to see how learning can suddenly become a pleasure for children rather than the painful chore previously experienced. If this system can be used early enough, no longer does a child need to be ‘written off by the educational system or be medicated with drugs such as Ritalin. This training programme provides a satisfying alternative." says Henry Hopking, founder of the new centre.

As the results of the training are so dramatic, it has lead to a scientific research interest from a major London University. They plan to conduct a three year research trial on this system and how it can be wider implemented.

With more traditional techniques such as neurofeedback, to achieve the same results you may require 40-60 sessions. What makes this new technology so exciting is that the same results can be achieved but in a fraction of the time." says Henry Hopking.

The cost of this new programme to help people with SENs is 550 for the four week programme. Over the years top sports clients or companies have paid up to 3,000 for a training course. Over the coming months LSI has plans to open many more centers across the country.

The company was founded by Henry Hopking. Henry Hopking has used the system successfully with many sports people. In recent years he has trained Nick Faldo and in 2002 his sports clients won more than 15 major international titles. Hopking uses the system himself and as a result is now ranked 9th fastest reader in the world and last year won the silver medal at the Creative Thinking World Championships.
