2003 Sisters Empowerment Conference: Empowering the Whole Woman: Mind, Body & Spirit.

Sisters Supporting Sisters, Inc will host it's 2003 Sisters Empowerment Conference Saturday, October 4, 2003 in College Park, Maryland. This year's theme is "Empowering the Whole Woman: Mind, Body & Spirit".

2003 marks a new beginning for Sisters Supporting Sisters, Inc. as we expanded our vision to bring you a full-day of dynamic, yet nurturing activities to re-connect your Mind, Body and Spirit. The Sisters Empowerment Conference (SEC) is far more than just a place for collecting information and "how to" tips. It's about Empowering the Whole Women!

The conference will be held Saturday, October 4, 2003 in College Park, Maryland. Historically, this event has brought together over 600 women and their families from the Baltimore/Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

As you are already aware African American women have traditionally been at-risk and underserved population, adversely affected by poverty, heart disease, obesity, AIDS/HIV infection, CVD (stroke), mental illness, limited education and accidental and intentional violence.

Conference participants will have the opportunity to:

„Y Explore a variety of topics for personal and professional growth.
„Y Network with other business, professional, and home-based women.
„Y Address relevant issues affecting African American women.
