ACTIONREACTION Honored as IBM's "Think-A-Ma-Jig" Gains Accolades

ACTIONREACTION Technology Solutions (ACTIONREACTION) was honored as one of the company's recent efforts received international recognition.

ACTIONREACTION provided technical direction in the development, production, and deployment of a featured interactive exhibit at IBM's "Thinkplace" attraction within Disney's EPCOT Center in Orlando, Florida. The centerpiece included a networked, collaborative 3-D gaming environment entitled "Think-A-Ma-Jig," in which kids and adults joined forces to build unique machines and test their creations against those of other teams.

IBMs "Think-a-ma-jig" has been selected as a finalist in the One Show Interactive competition, sponsored by the One Club. The work will be included in Volume 25 of the One Show Interactive Annual, slated for publication in 2003, as well as the Traveling One Show Exhibition, which will be hosted by a variety of cities in the U.S., as well as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, England, Italy, Japan, South Africa, and Spain.

The project also won a Bronze IDEA in the 2003 Industrial Design Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Industrial Designers Society of America and BusinessWeek magazine. The jury awarded 45 Bronzes out of a total 122 awards, selected from more than 1100 entries.
