About AuthorZone.Net

When I published my first book I became eager to find a community of authors on the internet to hang out with, exchange ideas and talk about various issues and also a place that would offer various marketing services and a free web page for myself and a professional looking website.

Sadly, no such a place exists, until now. AuthorZone.Com is the first and only professional community website dedicated to authors but also a place where visitors and readers can come and read articles, short stories, and book reviews written by authors and editors alike.

We strongly encourage our member authors to write and submit articles to our website on issues important to them BECAUSE, potential customers interested in their book may want to see how prolific the author is before deciding to buy the authors book. In other words, this site is also like an audition site or a intellectual gallery of materials on display. The materials remain in our database and can be edited, deleted or updated by the author who submitted it. We will also advertise our website on other major websites to bring visitors to YOUR materials.

In our category section visitors can view books, articles and all other materials authors have submitted to that category.

Authors
In this section people can see the latest authors who signed up recently. On the main page we also have an A-Z author listing linked to their homepage.

Books
Here the latest books are displayed, complete with book cover and short description.

Stories
Here are listed the latest short stories submitted by our member-authors.

Articles
Here the latest articles are displayed.

Poetry
We are not just a community site for authors. We also want to have as many poets as possible find a home here.

News
The news section is where our member-authors can stay in touch with the regular and new visitors who frequent our site.

Events
The Events posted here are also posted in our Calendar and these events can be posted ahead of time up to years in advance.

Reviews
Here visitors can post reviews to your books page which all visitors get to see and a rating of it will also be displayed.

AZWire
Here in this sections is the News Wire section where all the latest Press Releases are displayed. BUT, the Media and Industry professionals can subscribe to this section to be notified and receive Press Releases submitted by our member-authors.

After Login
Once new member signs up, they have access to the Author Control Panel where the author has a great many tools and free services.

Featured Author
Let me explain how authors get chosen to become featured author.

Once you upgrade your membership the software does the following:

1. Looks to see who has the most articles submitted.
2. Looks to see who has the most complete Bio page
3. Looks to see if you have a book submitted
4. Looks to see if the author has a photo and a book cover.
5. Looks to see who has the most visits to their articles, bio page and book.

The visitors have to be from the outside, meaning not just other authors but actual visits from search engines or simple put, new visitors.

This is how featured authors are chosen by the software.
