GL TRADE PARTNERS WITH SONIC FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES TO INTEGRATE DIRECT MARKET ACCESS FOR US EQUITIES

GL TRADE today announced a partnership with Sonic Financial Technologies, LLC that will introduce Sonic direct access trading capabilities on the US markets to GL TRADE clients worldwide through a link between the GL NET and SonicStorm. GL TRADE clients will benefit from direct access trading to US exchanges and ECNs. Conversely, Sonic customers will have the ability to trade on the more than 50 markets that GL TRADE connects via the GL NET.

NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 3, 2003 -- GL TRADE, a leading provider of financial trading software, and Sonic Financial Technologies, LLC a leading trading technology provider, today announced a partnership that will introduce Sonic direct access trading capabilities on the US markets to GL TRADE clients worldwide through a link between the GL NET and SonicStorm. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

GL NET is GL TRADEs proprietary international trading network connecting more than 50 markets and 300 brokers worldwide. SonicStorm is a proprietary direct access trading portal used by buy-side and sell-side firms both domestically and abroad. Under the terms of this agreement, GL TRADE will be able to provide direct access trading capabilities to ECNs, NYSE and NASDAQ using the SonicStorm trading portal. SonicStorm will provide GL TRADE customers advanced order routing functionality for enhanced execution on the US equity markets. Conversely, through the connectivity with GL TRADE, Sonic customers will be able to route orders via the GL NET to any of the global markets and brokers to which GL TRADE has connectivity.
