Logitek Digital Console Is Heart of New Radio Studio at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
The new Alan Freed Radio Studio at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame + Museum, Cleveland OH, features leading equipment from industry vendors including a digital console from Logitek.
Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) July 5, 2003 -- Logitek Electronic Systems' Numix digital console officially launched the new Alan Freed Radio Studio at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum during their grand opening March 1, 2003. Alan Freed's daughter-in-law Judith opened the new studio with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and pressed a button on the Numix console, launching an audio feed of classic Alan Freed broadcasts which were played over the museum's sound system.
The Logitek Numix console is the centerpiece of a state-of-the-art radio studio, featuring equipment donated by leading industry vendors. The studio is designed to handle remote broadcasts to almost anywhere in the world and will be used by hundreds of visiting station personnel each year.
"We're delighted to play this important role in the new Alan Freed Radio Studio," said Tag Borland, Logitek president. "Our digital console system was a perfect fit for this studio. Not only can it be easily re-configured for each visiting user, it provides a sleek design that complements this beautiful facility." Borland noted that the Logitek system provides comprehensive audio routing functions in addition to audio mixing. "Our router-based system offers a new level of flexibility for any user," he said. "With 24 mix-minus buses, 8 stereo buses and X-Y routing capability, users can feed their remotes anywhere while chatting with people back at the station and recording incoming audio, all at the same time. Users can also map the console layout to match their own preferences, assigning microphones, music sources and other equipment to specific faders."
Logitek equipment featured at the Alan Freed Radio Studio include the Audio Engine, a digital audio router; the Numix console, an expandable mixing board with individually assignable faders and buttons; the vMix "Virtual" console, which offers full console functionality on a PC screen, and Logitek's Supervisor software, which allows users to set up custom button assignments, event triggers and console re-mapping with a single button press.
