GLENDALE, AZ. - Swami Dâ Prem, America's Youngest Swami -- whos guru is recognized by the current leader of over one billion Hindus worldwide -- is taking advantage of the technology the Internet has to offer, reaching out and touching others. His website, American Swami (http://www.americanswami.tk), is built with TypePad's microcontent publishing system (http://www.typepad.com/), or in other words, a blog publishing tool. TypePad is still in the public beta testing phase and Dâ Prem is happy to be a beta tester.
Dâ Prem on a regular basis posts newly written essays on self-improvement, spiritual, religious, meditation and yoga related subjects. From time to time, he will post one of his delicious and healthy vegetarian recipes that are easy to make. Readers, if they choose, are even able to leave comments on Swamiji's personal blog about any of his entries.

About Swami Dâ Prem
Swami Premabrahmananda (JP Mitchell) is an ordained minister of The Philippine International Congregation on the Science of Religion (California Nonprofit Reg. No. 2492531). He received Sannyass from Sat-Guru Dâ Brahman-Atmananda on Raviăra, the 12th of May 2002 (302 Dwapara). Sat-Guru Dâ is a bona fide Acharya of Sanata Dharma—the Eternal Way of Righteousness—recognized even by the present Shankaracharya of Sringeri Math, spiritual leader of over a billion Hindus worldwide. Premabrahmananda is, on record, the youngest American to officially carry the title of Swami." The name Premabrahmananda came from the Sanskrit ananda bliss" Brahman God" and prema love," hence the bliss of Gods love."
Premabrahmanandaji is one of few who have been authorized to initiate people into the First Degree Kriya of Brahman-Atman Yoga in his Gurus behalf. He also functions as a full time counselor and minister conducting such ceremonies as child dedication and naming, wedding, and ascension. He is the appointed Director of the Arizona Branch of the Congregation and also serves as the Secretary of the California Branch. Swami Prem is a Brother of The Philippine International Order of Universalist Swamis (PIOUS).
