Young Entrepreneurs All Over America Ready To Make Their .mark!
Avon launches its newest brand - .mark - a new business opportunity in direct sales marketing targeted towards the 16-24 agegroup.
AVON - a world leader in direct marketing of cosmetics, gifts, and wellness, is prepared to launch its newest flagship - .mark - an opportunity for the younger generation to start their own business selling products designed for that key market group.
According to the website at www.meetmark.com - .mark "celebrates self-expression, defining one's own look... and special type of outer beauty... as well as one's future. Why should today's young woman work in a restaurant, do odd jobs or fold sweaters in a retail store when she can do what she loves... and make money doing it? As a .mark representative, she is offered the chance to be the CEO of her own beauty business. Working as her own boss, with her own hours, on her own time. This, making her own difference, brings out inner beauty. And there's nothing else like it."
Cosmo magazine recently rated .mark as the best new brand launch of the year - giving .mark the "Cosmo Girl Kiss of Approval Beauty Award Winner 2003" award. Kristine Welker, Publisher of Cosmogirl Magazine presented the award to Debi Fine, President of Avon Future and the mark team. mark was recognized for its product innovation as well as its position to empower young women with an earnings opportunity.
Danielle Bailey, Avon unit leader, is pleased with the launch. "I think its going to be a wonderful way for young women to make money for college or wherever their heart leads them. Avon has always stood for giving women the power to be more, earn more, and do more. Why should the younger generations miss out on such a great opportunity? Im telling every young person I know!"
And they're responding. Mrs. Bailey has already planned an orientation class for the first wave of marketing hopefuls but admits she always has room for more. "My plans are to provide continuous support to the .mark representatives. They'll be dealing with issues that most people don't deal with until they've had more education in marketing, economics, business law and a wide variety of other subjects. Each of them is essentially launching their own company - and they'll need help with that."
.mark representatives will earn commissions based off of consultative selling of products geared towards their age group - 16 to 24 year olds who want to be on the very edge of fashion. The catalogs are large magazine like brochures with articles, tips, and of course products small enough to fit in those tiny purses.
Girls ages 16-24 are the target audience for the new brand - and are being invited to sign up as a representative, get the kit and magalogs, and start strutting their entrepreneurial stuff. While anyone can sign up to be a rep, girls under the age of 18 will require a parent co-signer. The cost to sign up is minimal - only $10 - and the kit includes everything the new representative would need.
Representatives will sell, collect the money up front, place and pay for their orders at the online site, and then distribute the products to their customers. .mark representatives will enjoy a 40% commission on beauty products (cosmetics, skin care, etc.) and 25% commission on non-beauty products (jewelry, accessories, etc.)
.mark representatives will reap points as a result of completion of training modules, sales, and inviting others to join the opportunity. Points can be redeemed for cash incentives and prizes. Those representatives who recruit others will also earn a small percentage (5-12%) of the sales of those in their group.
Those interested in joining an orientation class or signing up for .mark or Avon should contact Mrs. Bailey at 803-438-3520 or via email: bailey98@bellsouth.net.
