'STOP BILL MAHER POLITICAL PARTY GAINING STRENGTH

Robert Stackman, a New York venture capitalist has started the 'Stop Bill Maher' political party. Stackman thinks Maher, well known for his liberal views, should to be barred from broadcast and cable networks because of what Stackman describes as 'subversive views.'

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - It turns out the greatest threat to democracy is not terrorism, but rather comic Bill Maher and his ubiquitous ranting and raving about everything under the sun, according to Robert Stackman, who has started the Stop Bill Maher before he talks again political party.

The guys a menace to the American way of life," said Stackman, 40, the party's founder and presidential candidate. Hes got an opinion on everything and he feels it is his obligation to share it with the whole world; on every network and cable station. Is there something this guy doesnt know ... or, care ... about? Now THAT would be news."

Stackman says supporters are turning out to Stop Maher-sponsored rallies. He says hes a hit a chord in American society with the Stop Maher campaign.

Finally an issue on which most people can agree," said Stackman. Forget foreign affairs and the economy. Maher is the countrys most pressing problem; a festering sore on the national psyche that slowly, agonizingly erodes everything we as Americans hold dear."

Stackman has put out a call to Maher to debate him on the issues at a time and location of Mahers choosing.

Im calling him out," said Stackman. If hes not too chicken to go toe-to-toe on the issues with someone other than a show business type or television pundit, Im ready."

Stackman hopes his Stop Maher platform will resonate amongst voters in November 2004.

There hasnt been such a clear cut issue in recent American history," proffered Stockman. Bill Maher is the personification of everything thats wrong with this country. Ive got kids to think about, and Im going to do everything I can to make sure they grow up in a Maher-free media environment."
