IS ENGLISH THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE?
We have recently become aware of the notion that finding a reliable Brazilian exporter of swimwear, with capable international language skills is somewhat unusual, and exclusively extraordinary. Fortunately, this National Brazilian dilemma is not the case for our company.
In the following news release, I would like to explain perhaps why this dilemma is so, and outline why our company is the best solution for international suppliers and distributors searching for honest, and easily negotiable importation.
MYTH: Finding a reputable and competent Brazilian swimwear supplier, and manufacturer in Brazil who speaks English is effortless and widespread.
FACT: Merely 10% of the Brazilian population speaks English fluently, and even less percentage of those persons find themselves in the demanding yet profitable production of international swimwear exportation.
Today, following a world tendency, some English words are used particularly in technical fields. However, the average Brazilian - as it is truth of the average American in the US - does not speak a second language. Foreign buyers, or visitors, for that matter, should not expect Brazilians to understand English or even Spanish, even though they may be surprised with the extent to which Brazilians enjoy to spend time socializing, in spite of the language barriers.
This tendency towards this type of mono-lingualism" evidently hurts the Brazilian economy severely; hindering exportation progress, and advancing globalization. Interestedly, if one was to speak with an average Brazilian national" manufacturer, one might soon find that international exportation is not their first priority. In additional to this, those who do find themselves interested in expanding into the global arenas may find it hard to conceive that their lack of English skills may even be hindering their progress. Of course, this is not the case for all, and many other small to medium sized business search desperately to hire translators, create English alternative web sites, and possibly even train their native tongues to speak a broken English with all the best of their intensions.
