New surface mount oscillators from Euroquartz go ultra-miniature.
Frequency control products specialist Euroquartz has launched a new range of 3.3V tri-state surface mount oscillators housed in ultra-miniature 5 x 3.2mm packages.
Offering a wide range of standard frequencies and good shock and vibration resistance, the new 99SMO series clock oscillators are ideal for use in a diverse range of applications. These encompass hand-held and portable communications equipment including PDAs, GPS and wireless LAN systems.
The very low profile surface mount package is just 1mm high and the ceramic housing is seam welded. Frequency range is from 1 to 70MHz with frequency stability over temperature of ±30, ±50 or ±100ppm. Operating temperature range is -10 to +60 or -10 to +70 deg C.
Additional specifications include 3.0V ±10% supply voltage, start up time of 10ms maximum, output voltage of 2.70V minimum (Voh) and 0.3V max (Vol), output load CMOS 15pF/2TTL, and output symmetry of 40/60%. Rise and fall times range from 2 to 4ns depending on frequency.
The new 99SMO series surface mount clock oscillators are suitable for vapour phase or reflow soldering and are available on tape and reel or loose.
