Free Plants and Flowers. Free Home Garden Exchanges.

GardenHere Helps Home Owners Find Free Plants and Flowers --Free Home Garden Exchanges. This award-winning Web site, www.GardenHere.com is the Internet version of the picket fence where exchanging extra plants and flowers is the neighborly thing to do.

CHEVERLY, MD (PRWEB) August 4, 2003 - Home gardeners give away free plants almost every day on the new GardenHere Web site. Home gardeners save $10's, --even $100's on their landscape projects. It's easy, fun, and a great way to make new friends. Visitors to www.GardenHere.com forums find listings of free plants, flowers, and seeds or place a notice telling other members what they are looking for.

Giving away extra plants is a tradition for many home gardeners," says webpage owner Al Stubblefield. Just this year, I sent Fuchsia starts to a home gardener in Arizona and Wisteria, Ivy, and Daylilies to GardenHere members in Wisconsin, North Dakota, Montana, and Oregon --all free. It took only a short trip to the post office for me and the cost of postage for my new home gardening friends."

One forum member from Adair, Oklahoma said, I have just recently found this forum (Website) and absolutely love it. If anyone would be interested in some Bearded Irises, please let me know. I have three beds that are extremely out of control!" Another home gardener from Boulder, Montana had this to say about the GardenHere Website, I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful website you have created. This is a great idea . . .!"

No self-respecting home gardener would throw plants in the compost pile when someone else might like to have them in their yard? "Ive already gotten free Irises, Columbine, Daylilies, Hosta, Azaleas, Liriope, and Pachysandra," said Stubblefield.

Any home gardener can do the same simply by finding what they want in the GardenHere forums at www.GardenHere.com and responding or placing their own message. Most home gardeners enjoy giving away extra plants or exchanging them for something they dont already have.

About GardenHere:
GardenHere began as a personal Webpage in December 2002 as way to share pictures with family and friends of the improvements to the fifty-year old home Al Stubblefield and Guillermo Morrison purchased in Cheverly, Maryland. Al had an agreement with Guillermo that Al would be in charge of the outside and Guillermo would fix the inside. Since then, Guillermo has encroached a little on Als territory and both have become passionate about their home garden and can usually agree on inside improvements, too. Al works a full-time job in downtown Washington, DC, builds the Website, gardens, and exchanges plants weekends and evenings.

Today, there are about 200 visitors per day to the Website and a little over sixty home garden members belong to the forums. People usually learn about the site through friends or other home gardeners.
