NFL EUROPE & TOP COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL OFFICIALS TO CONDUCT CAMP IN TAMPA
Three Day Event Set For August 15th -- 17th 2003
Ten football officials representing six major college conferences and NFL Europe will be conducting a three day camp for football officials, coaches and those interested in learning more about football rules on the high school, college and professional levels, August 15th -- 17th in Tampa, Florida. The camp is designed for those individuals who officiate or coach football and want to improve their knowledge and perceptions of the rules. The featured clinician is Alberto Riveron, a referee from Conference USA who also officiates in NFL Europe. Riveron is a veteran official who most recently worked the 2002 Outback Bowl between South Carolina and Ohio State. He will be joined by other NFL Europe officials as well as officials from the Southeastern Conference, the Atlantic Coast Conference, The Big East Conference, the Gulf South Conference, the Atlantic 10 Conference, Conference USA and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference

The camp is sanctioned by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and sponsored by Wachovia Bank. The camp will be held in east Tampa with the Crowne Plaza Hotel -- Sabal Park serving as the host location. Attendees will receive both classroom and actual field observation / participation. Each attendee will also receive a valuable manual as well as giveaways from the camp committee and supporting sponsors and vendors.
