FOSGATE AUDIONICS TO AUCTION FIRST FAP V1 TO BENEFIT UTAH-BASED CHILDREN'S GROUPS
First of the Limited Edition, Vacuum-Tube Multichannel Processors
Will Support Children's Justice Center and Arts-Kids, Inc.
(PRWEB) August 16, 2003 -- Rockford Home Group today announced that the first production unit of 50, limited edition FAP V1 vacuum-tube surround processors will be auctioned via eBay, with all proceeds to be donated to Jim Fosgate's two favorite charities -- the Children's Justice Center and Arts-Kids, Inc. -- both of which are located in Fosgate's home state, Utah.
The Signature Series FAP V1, which will be available through select high-end audio retailers in September, is the first all vacuum-tube multichannel processor, operating exclusively in the analog domain.
"The FAP V1 represents the pinnacle of Jim's talents as an audio pioneer and lover of music,กจ said Brian Carlsness, Managing Director, Rockford Home Group. "Given both its unique design and appeal to only the most demanding audio enthusiasts, Jim asked to auction the first of these units to the benefit of two worthwhile charities that cater to the needs of young people."
The FAP V1 will be open to bidding from August 22 - August 31, 2003. During that period, interested bidders should visit http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/fosgateaudionics/.
In addition to receiving the first production unit to be hand-signed by Fosgate himself, the winning bidder will be invited to an expense-paid trip to the CEDIA Expo, September 5 - 7 in Indianapolis, IN. Along with touring the show, he/she will be the star attraction at a special press conference in the Rockford Home Group booth, #1508, on September 6 at 4:00 PM, where Jim Fosgate will present the certificate of ownership.
According to the company, the FAP V1 (SRP: $13,000) represents the "ultimate" manifestation of Jim Fosgate's talents as an audio designer, offering the natural warmth of analog audio reproduction in a highly versatile, surround sound processor. As it is designed for a highly selective, limited audience, the Signature Series FAP V1 will be released in a limited run of 50 units.
The Childrens Justice Center, with locations in Heberon and elsewhere in Utah, provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary response to child sexual abuse and serious physical abuse in a neutral, child-friendly setting. Its purpose is to coordinate and track investigation, related medical service, prosecution, treatment, and training in order to protect the best interests of the child and the community.
Arts-Kids, Inc. provides experience in the expressive arts process, including visual arts, movement, music and drama for children between the ages of 9-12 years.
"With all Jim has contributed to the audio industry, he feels it is time to give something back to the people in his community," added Carlsness. "We're proud to be a part of what will certainly be an important factor in the success of these two worthwhile organizations."
