BemroseBooth Awarded NCP Contracts

BemroseBooth has secured an exclusive five-year contract with National Car Parks Limited (NCP) to supply tickets and ticket advertising.

(PRWEB) August 20, 2003 -- BemroseBooth has secured an exclusive five-year contract with National Car Parks Limited (NCP) to supply tickets and ticket advertising. The multi-million pound contract covers the manufacture of all machine-issued tickets used by NCP throughout the UK and the provision of a media sales operation to sell the space on the reverse of tickets.

NCP also awarded BemroseBooth a 12-month contract to supply Controlled Stationery, which includes a broad range of enforcement notices, permits and associated forms and stationery. BemroseBooth will use its new Supply Chain Services Solution -- e2bb, to interface via the web with NCP.

Both contracts were won under NCPs Procurement Improvement Programme, a major strategic initiative which aims to achieve better value and service from a closer relationship with a smaller number of carefully selected, high performing suppliers.

BemroseBooth will manage the account from its Hull operation, starting in July 2003 and running to 2008. Its adverTicket operation, leading specialists in car park tickets advertising, will be responsible for media sales and campaign planning.

Mick Wall, director of BemroseBooths Mass Transit & Parking divisions, said: Having worked with NCP for over 20 years, we are delighted to be selected on a sole-supplier basis to provide a broader, and even better service to the company. Our aim is to provide an industry leading service, which includes innovation and value, to enable NCP achieve its Procurement Improvement Plan objectives. This significant win confirms BemroseBooths status as a provider of value-added solutions, not just a printer of tickets."

Bill McLean, NCPs Operations Director, said: BemroseBooths experience and professionalism has proved they are committed to improving the overall value of service delivered and, in return, we have made a significant contractual commitment to them. This should ensure a mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come."

It is the largest commercial car park operator in the UK with some 600 sites, is represented in virtually all major centres in the UK and operates car-parking facilities for ten UK airports. In June 1999, NCP and Manchester City Council initiated the first public/private partnership in the car parking sector, NCP Manchester Ltd (NML).

NCP has been serving the needs of UK motorists for over 70 years, having its beginning in a company founded in 1931. The company grew very significantly post-war until it was acquired by Cendant Corporation in April 1998. Subsequently, Cendant sold the NCP Group to Parking International Limited in May 2002. The principle shareholder being Cinven, a UK private equity firm.

NCP has achieved BS EN ISO 9002: 1994 certification for security procedures and continues to invest in the installation of CCTV in its major car parks as part of its effort to combat car crime.
