RS232 irrigation controller connects directly to a computer.

New irrigation controller allows a computer to directly control all aspects of a sprinkler system. Works with PCs or Macintosh computer all operating systems.

(PRWEB) August 24, 2003 -- WGL and Associates is pleased to announce the Rain8PC for use in residential, agricultural or commercial irrigation. Typical irrigation controllers contain a very limited means for the user to specify how and when irrigation is desired. The small LCD display and limited keypads make complex irrigation scheduling very difficult if not impossible.

By using an ordinary computer with its large display and full size keyboard the users desired irrigation schedules are very easy to implement. An additional benefit once you have the computing power of a modern PC is the ability to create if..then" logic conditions.

With water rapidly becoming a scare commodity, it is vital that sprinkler systems operate as efficiently as possible. One way to accomplish this is to irrigate using multiple environmental inputs. With a computer to process incoming data such as wind speed, air temperature, solar radiation, humidity and ground temperature this is now feasible with the Rain8PC.

The Rain8PC is an 8-zone device that is available with or without master valve/pump control option. It is available direct from the factory and is priced at $79.95.

WGL and Associates was founded in 1992 to provide engineering assistance to a number of manufactures. In 2002 the first home automation products were launched to fill a demonstrated need in the market.
