PRINCE GEORGES DEAN SUPPORTERS MEET IN ADVANCE OF HOWARD DEANS VISIT TO PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY.

Grassroots Organizers Answer Questions and Welcome Volunteers at Greenbelts New Deal Café Wednesday, September 3rd

GREENBELT, MD (PRWEB) August 28, 2003 -- On September 3, 2003, Howard Dean supporters in Prince Georges County will join with Dean supporters across the country in similar Meetups to help organize the grassroots campaign of Howard Dean. This months Meetup will be especially important as we prepare for Governor Deans campaign rally the following Monday (September 8th) at the University of Maryland campus.

Over 91,000 Meetup members have now signed up for the September 3rd Meetup at over 600 locations across America, including Greenbelt. This months theme is to directly engage Meetup members in their local communities. Our focus will be on bringing the campaign to communities that have not been traditionally engaged by national campaigns.

Governor Dean, the frontrunner in the latest New Hampshire primary polls, is gearing-up his campaign nation-wide. The Maryland Primary is now only six months away. "We are a 50-state campaign," says campaign manager Mr. Joe Trippi. "This is going to happen really fast. This is going to be the most compressed primary cycle in history."

Meetups are free and open to anyone interested in the candidate or campaign.

WHEN:    Wednesday September 3, 2003 7:00 pm
WHERE: New Deal Café 113 Centerway Roosevelt Center (Across from P&G Old Greenbelt Cinema), Greenbelt, MD 20770
