An award like the Carol D. Reiser Book Award has special meaning to me. Volunteerism is woven throughout the fabric of Anna's story," Fogelin said. What is being honored is the belief set forth in the book, that one person – even a child – can make the world a better place. The Carol D. Reiser Award has given me a taste of how it feels to be a philanthropist, and I like it."
I cant think of a better book to have won this award, nor a better author," said Don Parker, Amelia Book Island Festival chairman. Were so honored Ms. Fogelin will be attending the Festival this year."
