debut of author Sherri Neilson

When a plantation mistress and a male slave cross the color line in antebellum South Carolina, the shock waves reach all the way to the present.

Sherri Neilson announces the recent release and availability of her historical novel,
Free Falling, which has just been published by Publish America, LLLP, located in Frederick, Maryland.

When recurrent nightmares of falling drive the main character, Denise, to undergo hypnosis, she discovers she lived a previous life as Olivia Walters, the wife of a powerful plantation owner in South Carolina just prior to the Civil War. As Denise re-lives Olivia's journey from the moss-draped oaks of Chesterfield Plantation to the frantic streets of Charleston during South Carolina's secession, it becomes hard to tell where Olivia's life ends and hers begins. She knows that if she's not careful, history will repeat itself.

Sherri Neilson is a Systems Analyst at a research firm, and her background also includes sales and business administration. She has been writing stories since childhood, and this is her first published novel. She has launched a new web site, www.sherrineilson.com, to showcase Free Falling and her future novels.

Free Falling should be read, first of all, by anyone who enjoys history, drama, and gripping suspense. But this book is much more than entertainment. Today, racial issues are more prevalent than ever, ranging from racial slurs by politicians to hate crimes and the reparations movement, to name a few. We need to examine the historical origins of racial interaction and conflict so that we can reach understanding and harmony today.

Free Falling is available through major online bookstores, book distributors, and directly from the publisher.
