The SmarTrunk System II is compatible with all SmarTrunk II(TM) base station controllers and Omni(TM) logic boards, which makes it possible to upgrade an existing SmarTrunk II system without having to add new controllers, repeaters, or subscriber radios. With compatible radios offered by Kenwood, Icom, Motorola, Standard and Yaesu/Vertex, the SmarTrunk System II offers the largest radio selection of any VHF/UHF trunking protocol.

A key component of the SmarTrunk System II is the newly upgraded ST-510 Network Switch, a rugged, computerized switch with a modular design that allows easy expansion of users and sites.
