STEPHEN RESO SET TO ROCK THE BEACH
From the Big Easy to MTV - the Stephen Reso Band are ready to kick things into high gear at the annual east coast music festival.
Philadelphia PA,(PRWEB) September 11, 2003 – Local recording artist Stephen Reso and his band are set to make waves once again at the Dewey Beach Music Festival and Conference taking place September 25th – 28th. After stealing the show at the 2002 event, Reso is again looking to capitalize on the latest pop/rock craze and bring the crowd to its feet at the annual music fest.
So how did a shy kid from a tiny town just south of New Orleans find his way to the east coast and on to the airwaves of an industry giant like MTV? The modest, unassuming musician would tell you its just luck, but his fans, local radio and music critics will tell you differently. Honing his skills as a member of several notable 90s bands such as Underground Cartoons, Stephen Reso paid his dues in every smoky, dark club from New Orleans to Dover to NYC.
Along the way he developed a sound and style all his own and in the mid 90s decided to seize the solo spotlight. After a deal with one label fell through, his demo tape landed in the hands of Indian, president of Gig Records. A seasoned veteran of the music industry, Indian liked what he heard and promptly signed Reso to his label. In 2002, the critically acclaimed Ordinary Life" was released and quickly became a radio standard on the central PA airwaves.
The buzz surrounding the disc soon made its way to the studios of MTV who are currently spinning tracks from Ordinary Life" on their Real World/Road Rules Challenge Series. The band had the honor of opening for Better Than Ezra recently at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach and have shared the stage with such bands as Fuel, Live, Gene Loves Jezebel and Solution AD.
Catch the Stephen Reso Band on the Rusty Rudder stage Saturday, September 27th at 10:20 PM.
