The Real Eric Rudolph Emerges
September 15, 2003 - Blairsville, GA: Finally, the real Eric Rudolph emerges, at least in literature. "Man Hunt-The Eric Rudolph Story", released by Global Authors Publications, Inc., offers a glimpse into the people, places, and influences that helped shaped America's most infamous prisoner.
Eric Rudolph was one of this century's most elusive fugitives. Even now that he is behind bars, the myth often overshadows the reality. This is the first book that delves into the events that shaped the man.
Bobby Ruble, an award winning author, Brenau Alumni Hall of Fame member, and former chief-of-police in Kennesaw, Georgia, has this to say about "Man Hunt". "The research Ms. Walls has put into this book makes the reader feel he knows Rudolph and the way he thinks and feels. Rudolph who eluded Law Enforcement agencies throughout North Carolina and was finally captured by a rookie cop became a sort of folk hero to those in the mountains of North Carolina. Ms. Walls has written a really superb and highly interesting book that takes you on the ride with Eric Rudolph from his early years until his capture."
Author Kathleen Walls lives in Blairsville, Georgia, just 20 miles from where Eric Rudolph was captured. She has camped and hiked frequently in the Nantahala Forest where Eric Rudolph hid during the past five years. She has shopped and dined in Murphy, Andrews, and Nantahala where he lived. She has also lived in his birth city of Merritt Island, Florida, during the same time period as the fugitive and his family. She has visited Fort Benning, Homestead, and almost all of the places significant in Eric Rudolph's life.
Walls is the author of "Georgia's Ghostly Getaways", "Kudzu", "Last Step", and "Tax Sale Tactics". She is also an internationally published travel writer.
