Phone Bloc offers simple low cost privacy management
Transonic launches unique, hassle free method of blocking phone calls
To address the growing demand for undisturbed quality time, Transonic UK have launched Phone Bloc which provides time-controlled blocking of incoming calls. Unlike similar methods of blocking calls, Phone Bloc does not rely on the user remembering to reconnect the phone. It automates this process after a user-specified time, thereby removing all associated stress and "hassle".
Inspired by the need for airline pilots to catch up on much needed sleep, Phone Bloc is at least 10 times quicker than other methods of selecting an hour of ‘non contact time. The Phone Bloc unit can also operate with more than one phone, saving, for example, two inconvenient / time consuming disconnections and reconnections.
Phone Bloc is a one off purchase while most comparable methods of phone blocking require ongoing subscription costs over a period of time, which far outweigh the purchase cost of Phone Bloc over a period of two to three years.
The product launches this autumn and will be backed by a marketing campaign targeting the 6.2 Million UK current users of BT's Privacy Management Services, such as Call Barring, Caller ID, etc, as well as key vertical markets such as home workers, young families and emergency services personnel.
