National Not-for-Profit Consumer Group Announces Landmark Eye-on-Washington Program

The Federation of American Consumers and Travelers (FACT) is formally announcing its newest landmark program: Eye-on-Washington.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 24, 2004 --The Federation of American Consumers and Travelers (FACT) is formally announcing its newest landmark program: Eye-on-Washington

The purpose of Eye-on-Washington is to provide FACTs members with the basic information they need to make educated political decisions. Eye-on-Washington will provide those members with the sort of realistic political data and analysis that is rarely made available to the general public. Political reports will be non-biased, nonpartisan, and completely without a self-serving agenda.

FACTs director of the program is Sarah Chase, who maintains a full-time office in the District of Columbia. More than 1,000,000 consumers depend on FACT for a variety of services," she said, which puts us in a highly influential position. Its a position we want to use for the good of those consumers. In an era where large associations are often blamed for being too political" or too agenda driven," FACT has chosen to provide a political information service that is unparalleled in quality, sincerity, and honesty."

FACT is an association of consumers, formed under the not-for-profit corporation laws of the District of Columbia in 1984. The association represents Americans in all fifty-states.

Chase emphasized that FACT does not push single issues," support specific legislation, or support any political candidates. She stated that the associations goal is to inform and educate, not to persuade.

We dont profess to know what is politically 'good or 'best for our members," Chase concluded, but we do hope that we can provide our members with the tool -- straightforward information! -- that they really need in order to see beyond the blind preferences of others."
