Sierra Trading Post Outlet Announces Product Expansion

Premier outlet store for name brand outdoor clothing, footwear, and gear now offers savings on quality western wear.

Cheyenne, WY (PRWEB) January 23, 2004 --- An outlet store customers have come to rely on for name brand outdoor clothing, footwear, and gear over the years would be an unlikely place to find the same great savings on clothing lines including Wrangler, Roper, Cinch and Stetson. Not anymore. Sierra Trading Post announced this month that it will begin carrying boots, hats, jeans and shirts from a number of quality western wear vendors.

Were expanding the same savings weve always offered on our traditional product line to include a western line," says Sierra Buyer David Dietel. This allows our customers to enjoy impressive savings on the name brands in western wear theyve come to trust."
Ariat ropers that retail for $120 are $70 at Sierra. Customers will save nearly 50 percent on Wrangler jeans, and Cinch shirts, normally $50 are $19.95. Other vendors working with Sierra include Stetson, Dan Post, Roper, Justin, Tony Lama, Nocona, Frye, Double H, Acme, and Resistol.

It just makes sense to offer our customers these products. We have three retail stores located in the west -- including one in Cheyenne, WY, home to Cheyenne Frontier Days, the worlds largest outdoor rodeo," Dietel says. And its not just retail customers who welcome the idea of being to able to dude up for the rodeo -- catalog and Internet sales also show a niche for this product at outlet savings, he adds. We began testing product from a handful of these vendors in early 2003. The response was better than anticipated." The new line is available to consumers via the Internet, Sierra's catalogs and their three retail stores in Cheyenne and Cody, WY, and Reno, NV.

Sierra has continued to expand its product line since the companys inception in 1986, adding new catalog titles over the years including Sierra Outdoors, Sierra Women, Sierra Shoes, and Sierra Adventure Edge. Aside from western wear, its most recent additions are home furnishings and accessories.

Traditionally offering savings on name-brand casual and outdoor clothing, footwear and gear, the company purchases from more than 500 vendors including The North Face, Merrell, Ecco, Dr. Martens, Patagonia, Timberland, Rockport, Columbia and others to move their overstocks while preserving brand integrity, explains CEO Keith Richardson.

This practice and our commitment to selling only the best brands and highest quality clothing and gear keeps our vendors happy and ensures customers will continue to receive savings on merchandise," he said.
Sierra Trading Post purchases overstocks and closeouts from name brand vendors and passes savings of 35 to 70 percent on to its customers. Headquartered in Cheyenne, the company operates three retail stores, an online store (www.SierraTradingPost.com) and six mail order catalog titles with an annual circulation of more than 60 million.
