Metro New York Chapter NY BLACK MBA Elects New President Frances W. Ferguson
(PRWEB) January 26, 2004 --Frances W. Ferguson was elected to the presidency of the Metro New York Chapter NBMBAA. Her first term as President began January 1, 2004. Frances is a graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, the Metro New York Chapter will have a new commitment for volunteer service in the New York Metropolitan area. The New York Metro chapter of NBMBAA is in its 34th year of service. Currently, the Chapter is 585 members strong in Metro New York, one of the largest NBMBAA Chapters in the country. The Chapter has the on-going support of 40 local corporate partners.
Under the new administration, the Chapter has new strategic objectives, financial management and investment plan and new platform for programming and events. This year, the Chapter will implement and execute a broad range of activities to meet the diverse needs of its membership. These activities will include executive development programming for our more seasoned members.
The Chapter begins 2004 with two strong alliance partners: The William Jefferson Clinton Foundation, Harlem Small Business Initiative, Executive Leadership Council, and the Executive Mentoring Program. These relationships are aligned with the Chapters strategic goals to increase the Chapters visibility in community-based activities, expand the Chapters professional network and partnerships, and better leverage its professional image and brand".
