The Ministry Empowerment Seminar "Where eagle strenghten their wings"

Lecora Bowen, a 17 year legal veteran conducts a seminar to assist non profits with obtaining their 501 (c ) 3, incorporation, tax I.D numbers and information on other vital areas.

(PRWEB) January 27, 2004 --LECORA BOWEN has spent the last 15 years of a 17 year law practice devoted to assisting ministries in a legal capacity. She has worked for ministries from start ups to 25,000 members. She was responsible for reviewing and approving all documents and contracts on the construction of a 14 million dollar project as well as handling all zoning issues, reviewing all vendor and artist contracts, general counsel and litigation for the ministries.

On February 7, 2004 AT 9:00 A.M. the Ministry Empowerment Seminar will be presented in Union City Georgia at the Comfort Inn at 6800 Shannon Parkway. This is an eight hour seminar/workshop designed to assist you in completing the following:

INCORPORATION
We will assist with completing all paperwork necessary to incorporate your ministry, including obtaining your name reservation, Articles of Incorporation, standard set of bylaws, tax identification number and in the State of Georgia, assist with completing the paperwork for State Trademark Registration.
501 © 3 Workshop

501 (c ) 3 Non Profit Workshop
During this workshop each question on Form 1023, which is the designated form that must be filled out to obtain 501 © 3 status, is covered. Each participant is encouraged to fill out the form as we go through each section of the application and to ask questions. This will give you a good working understanding of what you are applying for and the paperwork that you will sign in order to obtain 501 (c ) 3 status.

CONSTRUCTION, PURCHASING, LEASING
You will be given simple and practical information that will save you thousands of dollars during any construction project. We will also go over how you can use your 501 (c ) 3 status to save thousands on buying or leasing properties.    

HOW TO LEGAL PROOF YOUR MINISTRY
society has become more litigious and so have members of the church. We will provide practical suggestions to help you legal proof your ministry.

PERSONNEL POLICIES
You will be given a copy of suggested Personnel Policies to review to see if the information contained therein can be used by your organization at this time. If you do not currently have employees but will have some in the future, these examples will go a long way in assisting your emerging ministry.

QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD
Bring all your questions and concerns and they will be addressed during this session.    Attorney Bowen also has experience as a church administrator that would be helpful to you.
