Nelson has previously culled notice from Torontos Now Magazine who labeled him a "film star" for his work as Tony the suicidal gambler in Sundance Channels "Dogs: The Rise And Fall Of An All Girl Bookie Joint".
Recently directed by theatrical legend Zoe Caldwell (Master Class) Nelson portrayed famed conductor Andre Previn in Dori Previns "Scitzofriend". His film credits include Griffin Dunne's feature "Lisa Picard is Famous" produced by Mira Sorvino, USA Films Lesser Prophets (w/ John Turturro), the Slamdance feature "Home Sweet Hoboken" (w/ Ben Gazzara), Edward Vilgas "Dead Broke" (opposite Paul Sorvino.
Best known for his work in Ethan Hawkes Malaparte Theater Company, Nelson has been associated with some of New Yorks grittiest theaters groups including The Adobe Theater Company, Naked Angels, Manhattan Class Company, Cucaracha Theatre, Circle Rep and Arden Party.
A consummate artist, he enrolled in Houstons High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Philadelphias University of the Arts where he earned his BFA before attending Theater Certificate programs at both Yale and Oxford University.
