(PRWEB) January 29, 2004 --It is very common for couples to have a feline or canine baby prior to starting a family of their own. Often there are concerns about the adjustment of the companion to this new lifestyle change. There may even be concerns and feelings that are quite mixed. I commonly hear of couples being overwhelmed and making the sad decision to surrender their furry baby prior to the arrival of a child. Our goal is to provide resources and skills so that ne parents know how to safely and smoothly include their companion during this and future life changes.
Awareness and education about potential situations can allow couples to have more control over the situation and results. Dogs & Storks offers many tips on exactly how parents to be can plan ahead in an active way.

Obedience, leadership and management are stressed and explained clearly to empower couples. Understanding your dogs behavior and communication will help you better prepare and recognize trouble spots to smooth out ahead of time. This really makes a difference when you are a new parent.

Special Education and Elementary Education has been the field of choice for Jennifer Shryock for years. Jennifer has over 15 years experience in the teaching field as well as being involved in Dog handling and behavior.

As a Proud Mother of three children and five furry children Jennifer knows first hand the importance of safety in the home. Jennifer has first hand experience at making this transition work well for all involved and shares that with each family she reaches. Dogs and Children are usually drawn to each other. Trouble happens when there is miscommunication and lack of supervision. My goal is to close the gap." Jennifer knows that by providing education to new parents we are setting up the next generation of dog and cat owners for success. The more education we can offer families about safe kid & k9 interaction, the more likely we can decrease the chances of families feeling they have no other options but to re home their k9 companion."
