American art cuts into world market.
Collage artist Ralph Michael Brekan to exhibit new work in six countries and on three continents in 2004. Artist says it's all "cut and paste" these days.
(PRWEB) January 29, 2004 --Artist Ralph Michael Brekan began 2004 with fabulous news that Musee Artcolle, the International Center for the Documentation of the Art of Collage, in Sergines, France would feature his work in 2004. Last, fall the museum acquired his well known portrait, 'Andy Warhol'. Pierre Jean Varet, director of Musee Artcolle, was thrilled to include Brekan, calling the portrait of Andy Warhol, "a superb collage".
The museum's collection contains an impressive body of works by the world's foremost past and contemporary collage masters. Works by Brekan will exhibit via the museum in three European countries in art exhibits scheduled throughout 2004. In addition, Brekan will exhibit in New Zealand, London, New York and Mexico City in 2004 in independent art exhibits.
When asked how he handles so much work and travel the artist replies "It's all cut and paste at this point." Brekan's work is collected throughout Europe and North America and can be easily viewed at the artists website.
