Dave Walker (The Voice of Savoy Brown) is back!
New album from Dave Walker (Savoy Brown)
The reclusive vocalist Dave Walker is making his first album in nine years for indie label Mooreland Street Records. Dave is the most popular vocalist of all the former front men for the ledgendary British Blues Band- Savoy Brown.
The album is a tribute to Sonny Boy Williamson and begins recording on Feb 7th in London. In addition to Dave, musicians on board include Jim McCarty of The Yardbirds (drums) Nigel Watson (Peter Green's Splinter Group) and Ray Majors (Mott/British Lions) on duel lead guitar, from the famed pub rock band The Downliners Sect Don Craine (rhythm) and Keith Grant (bass). Also signed up one of the founding members of Savoy Brown John O'Leary.
Walker is coming out of a semi-retitrement just to record this album. Where's he been? Living with a tribe of Native Americans!
Dave is availble for print and radio interviews. Contact: Russ Garrett (Mooreland Street Records) 310 995-1623
