Virtual Reality Meets 'The Matrix' at Digital Days

Pioneer of Virtual Reality and Film Editor of 'The Matrix' to Appear at Digital Days @ Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

SANTA BARBARA, CA (PRWEB) January 30, 2004 -- Digital Days, the popular digital technology showcase featured annually at Santa Barbara International Film Festival, is providing film fans, students and industry veterans with the unique opportunity to see presentations by both a 'father' of virtual reality and the film editor of the popular science-reality film trilogy 'The Matrix'. The keynote speaker at the 6th Annual Digital Days on Feb 7, 2004 will be Jaron Lanier, computer scientist, composer, visual artist and author who coined the term 'virtual reality'. Appearing next on a panel of award winning film editors will be Zach Staenberg A.C.E., Academy Award and American Cinema Editors' Eddie Award winner for his work on Wachowski's 'The Matrix'.

Digital Days is an interactive Digital showcase and forum featuring screenings, presentations, seminars and classes. Highlighting state-of-the-art digital moviemaking and multimedia. Digital Days 2004 will provide area youth and film enthusiasts with an up-close look at the latest digital software and computer technologies. Industry veterans and digital arts professionals will take part in several forums and discussions. The entire one-day event will also be web cast live complimented by interactive chats from the Digital Days web site (www.digitaldaysfest.com)
