Jamie Reno's Latest Album, "All American Music" released on 33rd Street Records
Newsweek writer and country singer Jamie Reno releases his fourth album "All American Music" featuring guest stars Charlie Daniels, Ricky Skaggs, Dickey Betts, Suzy Bogguss and many others.
(PRWEB) January 31, 2004 --San Diego-based country artist Jamie Reno released his fourth studio album, entitled "All American Music" on January 27, 2004 courtesy of 33rd Street Records. The album was produced and engineered by Grammy nominee Bernie Torelli and contains the first single, The Road" featuring Dickey Betts on guitar.
Appropriately titled All American Music," the new CDs inspiration was Renos own battle these past seven years with cancer. Renos lifelong dream of recording his own traveling songs with many of his musical heroes features remarkable musicianship from such music greats as Charlie Daniels, Ricky Skaggs, Jeff Skunk" Baxter (Steely Dan / Doobie Brothers), Dickey Betts (Allman Brothers), Randy Meisner (Eagles), Charley Pride, Suzy Bogguss, Jerry Donahue (Hellecasters), and more.
Jamie Reno, who grew up in Iowa and now lives in San Diego, is an acclaimed singer/songwriter whose warm, skillfully crafted, bittersweet music seduces listeners with its honesty and universal themes. Shaped by an enduring love for 70s acoustic rock as well as country and folk music, Renos songs resonate with both joy and melancholy.
Reno, who records for 33rd Street Records, is a lifelong musician (guitar, keyboards, drums) and vocalist whose national songwriting career began auspiciously in 2000 after completing a successful treatment for lymphoma cancer. That near-death experience, combined with the joyous birth of his daughter, inspired him to start writing songs. Reno has since recorded four CDs, had his songs placed on NBC and nationally syndicated TV shows and films, and won prestigious songwriting honors nationwide including Best Song honors at last years San Diego Songwriters Guild Awards.
In addition to being an acclaimed singer-songwriter and compelling performer, Reno is also one of the nations most accomplished journalists. The San Diego correspondent for Newsweek magazine, hes covered stories ranging from the California wildfires, the war in Iraq, the 9/11 terrorist attack and investigation and the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy. Other features have included Napster, Enron, the O.J. Simpson trials, previous Super Bowls, youth culture and the music business.
