Eastern Video Productions Announces Self-Service DVD Creation
Eastern Video Productions of Portsmouth, NH annouces its first in the nation self-service DVD creation. Customers can copy their VHS or 8mm tapes to DVD, as well as being able to edit them.
(PRWEB) January 2, 2004 --Byll Reeve, owner of Eastern Video Productions in Portsmouth,NH, announced recently that his company is the first in the nation to offer self-service DVD creation.
"Customers can bring in their VHS, 8mm or Hi-band 8 tapes and copy them directly to DVDs themselves" Reeve stated. "The equipment is very easy to use - actually it's a one-button operation."
Reeve noted that in addition to making a direct copy of a tape, customers could edit their tapes, eliminating portions they didn't want, such as when the camera was left on unintentionally.
Recent studies have indicated that videotape has an expected lifetime of 15-20 years, and that the images may start to degrade in quality even before that. A DVD, because it is a digital format, is estimated to last over 100 years.
"This is a great way to insure that people's precious family memories won't disappear in time. And with DVDs, accessing a particular portion of a recording is much easier than on tape" Reeve added.
The cost for the self-service DVD creation is only $10 per hour of equipment use. Reeve noted that he has 2 self-service stations available. Eastern Video Productions is located at 31 Raynes Avenue in downtown Portsmouth. The phone number is 603/436-7623, and the website is www.Eastern-Video.com.
