Shining Light Productions Announces the Release of Nuclear Vision Version 2.0
Nuclear Vision is the powerful web-based programming language designed in the style of HTML with ease-of-use in mind.
Okemos, MI (PRWEB) January 2, 2004 --Shining Light Productions today announced the release of Nuclear Vision version 2.0. Nuclear Vision is the powerful web-based programming language designed in the style of HTML with ease-of-use in mind. This major release increases performance up to five times from the previous version and is easier to use than ever before with dozens of additional and modified features.
The latest release of Nuclear Vision version 2.0 adds new HTML-style tags, options, and new features to make life simpler for both the web developer and system administrator:
| | - Major performance enhancements. Most NVML (Nuclear Vision Markup Language) scripts will see a boost in performance up to five times the previous version.
- Nuclear Vision ISAPI extension. Nuclear Vision now runs as an IIS 5.0/6.0 extension DLL (IIS is Microsoft's web server). This gives even greater performance enhancements up to a combined improvement of 8 times the previous version.
- More secure SQL queries. Better prevention from SQL injection than ever before. SQL injection is a huge e-commerce security risk and NVML provides methods to make this easy to deal with.
- External file execution. This allows other programs to be executed either in the background or from within Nuclear Vision. For instance, this can be used to process credit card transactions in the background while Nuclear Vision does other things.
- Image manipulation. Creates and manipulated BMP, RAW, and GIF images in real-time. This can be used to help secure copyrighted images from those who illegally download them from the web.
- Secure Internet communications. Secure socket layer (SSL) and HTTPS capabilities added to the web interface tag (NVWEB). Simplifies e-commerce transactions by providing security to merchants communicating with merchant providers.
- Simpler string comparisons. New functionality makes manipulating and comparing data even easier than before.
- Enhanced parsing engine. Capable of correctly parsing even the worst computer-generated HTML. The parsing engine can be used by software developers to extract information from websites.
- New sample programs. Nuclear Vision now comes with a project tracking system and secured image demonstration as well as numerous smaller sample scripts and applications to try out and examine.
- Revamped documentation. Completely redesigned documentation makes it easier to find and try out working example source code found within.
- Nuclear Vision DLL. As a DLL, Nuclear Vision scripts can be run from within other programming languages like C, Java, PHP, Perl, and Visual Basic.
- Less RAM needed. The memory requirements of Nuclear Vision are reduced considerably from the previous version.
- Commenting facilities. These tags should have been implemented earlier...delayed by committee, but delivered anyway.
- Simpler installation. The installer now automates most of the installation process but still leaves the more complex, security-related issues up to the end-user.
