Brace Yourselves for TWL Power Ladders
TeamWarfare, a site that specializes in team-based PC and console games, is going live with a new type of ladder ranking and challenge system for online gaming that will allow more flexiblity for gamers.
(PRWEB) January 3, 2004 --TeamWarfare is going live with a new type of ladder, Power Ranking Ladders, with a totally different ranking and challenge system that we will offer in addition to our traditional King of the Hill" style ladders which have become the staple of TWL competition. With King of the Hill" Style ladders, if you win, youre on top.
In contrast, our new Power Ranking Ladders are based on the Elo ranking system that was originally developed for chess. Your rank is determined by a modified version of the Elo equation, a mathematical equation that takes into account the Power Rating of the team you played.
"With Power Ladders you are not restricted to a single pending match. You can have infinite matches scheduled, complete with match comms, at any given time," Says Myles Triston" Angell, Founder of TeamWarfare. This will allow teams who need more flexibility and/or play time for their team to get it. You can challenge any team on the Power Ladder regardless of rank. Power Ladders allow teams to make same-night challenges. "We plan to extend the ability for this style of play to all our games," adds Mr. Angell.
TeamWarfare specializes in team-based competitive online gaming and now supports more than 40 PC and console game titles and mods with 27 leagues and 140 ladders.
