MTV features up and coming band Household Names "Bright Spot" on MTV.com

New independent band Household Names is a featured download on the MTV.com website.

(PRWEB) January 5, 2004 --MTV has inked a deal with Household Names to use the track "Bright Spot", from Household Names debut "The Trouble With Being Nice", as a download on its website, MTV.com. "Obviously were very excited to be a part of MTV, and we hope to expand our national audience", the bands frontman Jason Garcia says of the placement, following in the online footsteps of Texas bands Spoon and the Deathray Davies.

The MTV deal is the latest in a string of successes for Household Names "The Trouble With Being Nice". Released without a label in 2002, the disc garnered immediate critical acclaim and college radio interest and hit the CMJ charts early that year at #67. "Bright Spot" was featured on a CMJ sampler and added to cable music service DMXs college radio playlist.
