Business Owners: Start The Year Right... Now!
Start the year off right. January is the month to get organized for the "other" 11 months of success.
(PRWEB) January 5, 2004 --Forget about New Year's Resolutions... you know they don't work. January is the month to get organized for all the "other" 11 months of success. What you do this month can set the pace for the whole year. What's a business owner to do? This "To-Complete In January List" will set you in action, and action is the name of the game.
Design a very short yearly theme that keeps you on track and on focus. You can read more about this concept in this article: http://www.coachmaria.com/articles/yearlytheme.html
Create a yearly business vision. Hey, if you don't know where you're going, you may end up in a place you don't want to be. Vision statements arent written in stone, but they're not to be taken lightly either.
Update your business and marketing plans. To strongly reconnect with your business, help you get motivated and going, going, going, create a One Page Business Plan® - it's a business plan and marketing plan rolled into one document. Consider hiring a Business Coach who is also a licensed One Page Business Plan Consultant®.
Conduct a review of your ROI. It's important that you know the return on your investment - time and money - for the year. What did you gain in return for your investment of time/money spent on your business? You'll need this for your marketing plan since you will want to do more of what worked and less of what didn't. Or you'll want to adjust what didn't work and do it differently next year.
Remove at least 5 things you're tolerating in your life by Feb 1. That might mean really removing them, or doing them, or letting them go. Whichever it is, do it for you.
