GeoMonster Launches Location Based Web Services
Runcorn, UK -- January 5th, 2004 -- GeoMonster, today announced that is has launched the first in a series of location based, enterprise grade Web Services. The initial offering includes ZIPServe and IPServe, both are currently available for unlimited trial use.
ZIPServe allows real-time lookups of ZIP / Postal Codes for The United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.. Additional country data sets are being rolled out over the coming weeks.
IPServe enables the conversion of an IP address to a two letter ISO 3166 standard country code (such as US). IPServe can also return enhanced data such as; Country Name, Capital, Nationality, Region Label, and Post Code Label.
Full sample code for using these Web Services is also provided in several major programming languages.
