Kundiman, Inc. is proud to present Kundiman, The Gala Event at the Contemporary Art Center on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 8:00 PM. All proceeds from the Gala will benefit an emerging Asian American Poets Retreat to be held at The University of Virginia in summer of 2004.
The Gala will encompass poetry, music and film performances:
A vanguard of young and cutting edge Asian American poets from New York City and Virginia Beach will present original works. A short film by celebrated University of the Philippines professor Rolando Tolentino will be screened. Music talents Astropop3, Josh Verdes & Raymond de Leon will perform.
A revival of the ancient Filipino poetry form Balagtasan" will be also be presented.

The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia is located at 2200 Parks Avenue, Virginia Beach, Virginia. To reach the Center, take I-264 East toward the oceanfront. Turn left at the first stoplight on to Parks Avenue. Proceed straight after the next stoplight. Directly ahead is the CAC parking lot.
