Cultivating a Culture of Courtesy--Starting a Tea Society for Children
Ever encouraged your child to play with a particular playmate because they bring out the best in one another? Consider making it a monthly event and start a Tea Society for kids and their parents!
(PRWEB) January 6, 2004 --As part of the process of trying to provide their children with a wide variety of social encounters with their peers, mothers strive to get their children together with playmates. But too often, the days quickly become weeks and weeks turn in to months and those great intentions of getting together are lost in the shuffle of busy lives.
Forming a Tea Society for children provides an answer. Any member of a book club or other organized group of people who share a common interest can attest to the fact that having such a group provides an incentive for pursuing the common goal. When that goal is to learn more about good manners and etiquette while having fun, everyone wins!
The start of a new year is a perfect time to kick off your own chapter of Miss Camellia's Tea Society! Host a 'Silver-and-Gold' tea
party to share this idea with friends both new and old!
Children learn best by doing...and when they're provided the opportunity to get together and have FUN with a group of friends while practicing polite behavior, the good manners flow like a pot of orange pekoe! It's
a perfect excuse to get kids and their parents together on a regular basis in a relaxed setting...Cultivating a Culture of Courtesy one small group at a time!
This nationwide network of independent tea societies will allow members to share information about their own group, recipes, tea party themes and ideas, and other tips and tidbits! Being a part of the larger
organization will demonstrate to children that these ideals of polite behavior really are universal and they'll enjoy the opportunity to
correspond with peers from near and far!
An informational packet will be sent to families, at no risk, upon request. The Tea Party Company does ask, however, ask that only families who are committed to the idea of
actually forming a tea society make this request as postage, handling, copying, etc. are rather expensive.
Please send your name, address, email, telephone, and expected number of families who will be joining your group to CharterSociety@teapartycompany.com . Expect your packet to arrive within 2-4 weeks. Once the $35 Chapter registration fee and family dues of $10 per member family are received, you will become
eligible for all of the TEAriffic benefits of membership, including newsletters, contests, a customized patch, and much more!
