MARCOS NAJERA NAMED know99 TELEVISION CREATIVE DIRECTOR

City of Phoenix Youth and Education Office Director Deborah Dillon today announced that broadcast journalist Marcos Najera will be Creative Director of the city of Phoenix Education Channel, know99 Television.

(PRWEB) January 7, 2004 --Najera served as acting Creative Director of know99 Television for more than a year. During this period he and know99 Television were honored with four International Telly Awards.
     Najera has worked in broadcasting and journalism for more than 10 years in Phoenix, Tucson and San Francisco. He has field produced segments for national clients including MSNBC, Court TV, Univision, and The Cristina Show. He also has worked on acclaimed documentary film projects, one of which screened at the Sundance Film Festival and nationwide on PBS.
     Najera also taught middle and high school social studies in mainstream and bilingual education classrooms.
    Marcos brings his unique experience from production studios, newsrooms and classrooms to know99 Television," said Dillon. "The combination of education and journalism experience is exactly what we need."
     He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a Master of Arts from the Stanford University Graduate School of Education.
     Najera is represented by the Leighton Agency in Phoenix and N.S. Bienstock in New York.
