Free Latino Institute Informational Fair
The Latino Institute will hold a free informational fair 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 10, at South Mountain Community Center, 212 East Alta Vista (South of Southern between Central and 7th Street).
(PRWEB) January 7, 2004 --The Latino Institute will hold a free informational fair 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 10, at South Mountain Community Center, 212 East Alta Vista (South of Southern between Central and 7th Street).
Workshops in English and Spanish on health, education, domestic violence, personal finance and other issues of interest will be presented. This event also will feature the bilingual Latino Institute Talk Show," a creative segment in which experts will discuss different topics affecting our community, as well as answer questions from participants.
Free glucose and blood pressure exams will be administer by the American Heart Association. Also, entertainment and lunch will be provided and participants will have the opportunity to win many prizes.
The Latino Institute is comprised of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department employees and representatives from schools, businesses and other organizations. Our informational fairs gather more than 1,000 participants.
