New Integrated Load System With Built-In TVSS & Transfer Switch Is Introduced -- LESTER A. SHULMAN ASSOCIATES, INC. Signed As Regional Representative For New England
Infinity Systems, Inc. of Spokane WA has introduced a new load center panel with built-in surge suppression and manual transfer switch. These devices are integrated into well-known brands of residential panels.
Warwick, RI (PRWEB) January 7, 2004 --Infinity Systems, Inc. of Spokane, WA now offers a load center panel with built-in surge suppression and manual transfer switch system. Whole house surge and transient protection in these panels takes the place of multiple surge power strips. The manual transfer switch allows the homeowner a safe and legal means for the use of a backup generator. The surge suppression devices are integrated into well-known brands of residential panels, including Square D Homeline, Cutler Hammer BR, GE and Siemens.
The Integrated Load System (ILS) being offered is unique in the industry. Several companies offer external add-on devices, the ILS is the only integrated device designed specifically for residential and light commercial use. Electricians and contractors will see a reduction in installation time and material as the panel is installed exactly like a standard distribution panel. The surge protection is also homeowner replaceable while the power is still on.
It is a fact that transients and surges significantly reduce the life of household appliances and devices. For instance, the Reliability Analysis Center of Rome, New York reports that fluorescent lamps have a 2.5 year mean time between failure (MTBF) rating without a surge protection device and with surge suppression, the MTBF increases to 23 years. Electric motors, often found in appliances can show an increased MTBF from 4 years to 16 years with the use of a surge protection device. Another recent study showed that computer memory failure is power (surge and transient) related 80% of the time.
Recently, UL/CUL approval for the Integrated Load System (ILS) was received for the Cutler Hammer, Siemens and Square D products. Approval for the GE load center is expected soon.
Lester A. Shulman Associates, Inc. has been signed as the New England area manufacturers representative agency. One of the firms responsibilities will be to set-up distribution channels for the product. While appropriate distributors are being sought, anyone wishing to learn more about the ILS product should contact Les Shulman, VP, of Lester A. Shulman Associates, Inc. at (401) 829-9102.
