KUA Wins International Video Awards

    KISSIMMEE, FL (PRWEB) January 8, 2004 -- 7:30 am -- Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has received the Award of Excellence in the Communicator Awards 2003 Video Competition. The utility also received an Honorable Mention.
    The Award of Excellence honored the pilot episode of KUA's new bi-monthly technology show, "That's IT." An Honorable Mention award was presented to KUA for its "Plugged In" community education series on hurricane preparedness. Both shows were produced by and broadcast on Access Osceola, the local government access channel serving Osceola County, FL.
    The Communicator Awards is an international awards program that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. This year's competition featured 2,867 entries from 48 states, the District of Columbia and 11 countries.
    Other notable winners included Bank of America, The Boeing Company, Carnegie Mellon University, Motorola, NASA, U.S. Secret Service, and Wal-mart Stores, Inc.
    Since 1995, KUA has earned 144 local, state, national and international communication awards for its public relations efforts.
