Innovative Web Designer Kenneth Wajda Tells Small Businesses They DON'T Need a Website!

Instead, Wajda offers E-NEWSLETTERS for Small Business Web Marketing without the cost of a site.

(PRWEB) January 14, 2004 --Web design firms often try to sell small businesses on a web site, promising to get their business out to the world. But small businesses often reject the idea, because theirs is a local business and their customers are local as well. Plus, a web site would need updates and modifications and that would all add up to lots of bucks.

Kenneth Wajda, a one-man web design firm in Colorado, is approaching small businesses with an entirely new approach. Forget the website! Get your information to your customers via a newsletter delivered by email.

Since 2002, Wajda has been building Business E-Newsletters and sending them monthly to an email list of customers his clients generate. E-Newsletters are a great way to get your information out to your customers," Wajda said. They opt in to the mailing list, so they want to get the information that youre sending. My business clients often include special offers just for their E-Newsletter subscribers."

One business that has seen a leap in customers is The Annex Ballroom, a music venue above Pizza Madness in Caņon City. Hosting two big shows a month, often with national acts, they were trying to get their information out to more people in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. So they turned to an E-Newsletter, despite not having a web site.

Kirk Anderson, the proprietor of the ballroom, hired Wajda to created Slices", the music newsletter of The Annex Ballroom. At the shows, postcards are placed on the tables for people to fill out with their email address and a short survey of favorite types of music. There are now over 200 names on the email list.

Its great. It looks very professional and features the bands coming to The Annex in words and pictures, like a magazine," Anderson said. Weve had so many blues legends come to town and without the E-Newsletter, the information simply wouldnt have gotten out. And it goes directly to people whove been here before, who know what kind of a venue we are, and the quality of our shows. Its not like were trying to sell the shows on people unfamiliar with the venue."

Wajda has recently added The Jones Theatre in Westcliffe to his client base. Anne Relph, owner of the theatre, wanted an E-Newsletter to keep in touch with her customers. The Jones Theatre features first-run movies as well as live theatre, music and dance and Relph says she gets a different audience for each of them. So, shes placing cards in the lobby of the theatre for people to fill out to receive the E-Newsletter. New shows will be featured each month in the Jones Theatre E-Newsletter.

It puts your business in front of your customer on a regular basis," Wajda said. Which is good to keep them up on whats new, whats coming, and reminds them to come back and see you."

Wajda was formerly a web designer and photojournalist in New Jersey before moving to Colorado in 2001.
