Leadership Expert who developed the Organizational Hologram joins Atlanta based Family Business Institute

Professor Kenneth Mackenzie, one of the world's leading experts on Organizational Theory, has developed an on-line assessement tool that can help medium and large sized family businesses to achieve their leadership and legacy goals and objectives.

(PRWEB) January 8, 2004 --Family Business consulting pioneer Don Schwerzler announced today that Kenneth Mackenzie, Ph.D. has become associated with Atlanta based Family Business Institute and their Internet organization, Family Business Experts.

"Ken is recognized as one of the world's leading experts in the field of Organizational Theory and will be a wonderful resource for our medium and larger sized family business clients," stated Schwerzler.

Mackenzie has been the Edmund P. Learned Distinguished Professor, School of Business, at the University of Kansas since 1972. He has written 17 books and over 100 articles in the scientific literature.

Schwerzler indicated that Professor Mackenzie developed the Organizational Hologram - a major break through in the field of Organizational Theory.

Based on the Organizational Hologram, Professor Mackenzie has created one of the most effective and cost efficient organizational assessment tools available for use on the Internet.

Professor Mackenzie added, "When I speak of leadership I mean more than the usual traits and skills such as honesty, courage, and expertise. These qualities are always important. But, traits and skills must be supported by leadership practices to be effective. The leadership of an organization must always confront change, threats, and opportunities. How it meets these will determine its success. Pursuing and instilling effective leadership practices throughout an organization in order to master change is the only real, sustaining legacy. That's why we view legacy through leadership as the main challenge facing family controlled businesses

Schwerzler concluded, "Leadership and Legacy are primary drivers for successful family businesses, Professor Mackenzie's research and the organizational assessment tools he has developed will ensure that our clients maximize their efforts toward these critical family business objectives".
