WZRR Launches Open Mic Network

Citadel Broadcasting Corporation's (NYSE:CDL) WZRR has teamed up with Open Mic Entertainment to launch the "Rock 99.5 Open Mic Series" in Birmingham.

(PRWEB) January 8, 2004 --Open Mic Entertainment and WZRR, Birmingham's classic rock station, have just announced the creation of the "Rock 99.5 Open Mic Series". All of Open Mic Entertainment's Birmingham area open mics will be included in the series.

Rock 99.5 will air :30 spots that promote the open mics. The spots have been customized for each day of the week.

Lanier Harris, local sales manager for Z93 said, "Creating a network of open mics helps us extend our brand. Our advertisers love being on-premise". She continued, "By working with Open Mic Entertainment, we are able to quickly create a presence in multiple locations. They handle the network and we handle the promotion and marketing."
